Leading global social media and innovation for MAC Cosmetics, we spearheaded the launch of the first-ever beauty shoppable YouTube channel and other impactful digital campaigns. We also launched and developed multi-channel strategies across all the MAC Cosmetics social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube.
YouTube Innovation
To integrate our popular how-to videos on YouTube, we were the first beauty brand in the world to launch a shoppable, interactive YouTube channel. With audiences and e-commerce sites all over the world, our local markets, including Thailand, Middle East, Mexico, Brazil, and more, also wanted to have the shoppable videos launch in their markets, translated, and link to their respective e-commerce sites.

Working closely with the creative team to design a user-friendly experience, we produced a how-to video series dedicated to this campaign, highlighting some of the best-selling products. To ensure a familiar experience for our followers and .com shoppers, we mirrored the e-commerce shopping experience on YouTube. Throughout the design phase, we worked with Google-approved developers and our Google partners to ensure we were compliant with the functionality of the site, while remaining on-brand.

Facebook Innovation
MAC fans were so passionate about the makeup and their favorite shades and many would vent their frustrations to social media when some of their go-to’s were discontinued. To address our fanbase, we developed one of the most beloved campaigns, MAC By Request, in which we asked social media followers to vote on which discontinued products in various categories to bring back. The voting process was shared live on social media, and the winning products were later re-introduced online and in-store. *The following case study was completed under employment at MAC Cosmetics.
